this IS abuot ARR mama, IMO. cuz the most common complaint against him is the same thing that u raised in your first post. if you are just talking of some mani sharma songs, its fine - I am OUT. anyways, I was just trynig to give a generic reason of why this thing happens. and just FYI, ARR said the same thing in one of his interviews.
anni minute details vaadedi final ga song effect kosam mama. 'kondalalo nelakonna' manam bathroom lo padukuntam kaani oka classical singer padinappudu, ayana chese virupula vallane song ki andam vachedi. manaki avi theliyekapoina, we can 'feel' the difference. same here.

Chalam garu, As I said before, only ARR has that minute detailing that you need to appreciate his efforts. He puts lots of effort to make each and every sound clear. I really appreciate that.
I feel one hears more of ARR songs only for that. Nobody gives importance to his singers, lyrics, tunes etc.,
But in other departments like melody, singers choice, tunes etc., he lacks something. Otherwise he would be the greatest of all MD's.
But let us not deviate this to ARR analysis. |

And correct he uses wierd tunes, different rhythm to stand out of the crowd. But many times his experiments fail to appeal the end user. Thats why he is failing now a days. Also those loops/rhythms are available for everyone so you have few clones to him. Main one is Harris jeyraj..
Basically my feel for ARR songs are that you dont like since you cannot understand, you get used to the song and now feel you liked it. But actually you never like the song which you dont like for the first few listenings.
But bottom line for every song is melody which will be liked/disliked during first 2-3 listenings. |

Musicfan garu, I feel that not all songs sound better after repeated listening. All I can say is - they sound pretty FAMILIAR after hearing repeatedly, and perhaps then we start liking those songs. We get to know the lyrics and also most of us start humming the song as it plays. It is then that they sound BETTER. But, in reality, I feel, the quality of the song remains the same. |

alaa ane vallani evaru help cheyyeleru mama. but ARR songs nijangaane different ga untayi mama. there are times his tunes are very weird and the orchestration gets complex for the first hearing. some more hearings and you start getting a feel and understand the rhythm. there are many ARR songs that are not fully comprehended even today, the kind of variations he makes and the kinds of experiments he does. IR kalapani patalu first time vinte chala weird ga anipisthayi tunes, kaani oka 2,3 times vinte vatilo beauty thelushundi. 'seethalu nuvvu leka nenu lenu' first time vinte naaku endidi anipinchindi but a coupla more hearings, and I knew we have a gem. konni anthe mama.
this does not mean that all songs are like that. nuvvanna category lo kooda undachu public but they are praising the songs for some other reasons and not because of the musical beauty of the song. |

Arjun lo 2 songs tappite. Vaatiki ventane bagunnayi ani reports vachesayi kadaa. Ee songs ki chala sarlu vinna taruvata bagunnayi ani evaru analedu...
Now ARR songs lo janalu edo undani brama padi andaru bagunnayi manamu kuda anakapote bagundadu ani antaru. Really there is no such complexity in orchestration, nor rhythms etc., He uses different loops which you get used to them upon repeated hearing. Only thing in ARR is that his minute detailing. This makes you feel more interested as each time you hear new sound in the song somewhere, but for that you need not like that song... |

MF mama, manaki theliyeni concept first time chadivesthe ekkeyyedu kadaa ? takes a couple of more readings. alaage some songs that are good but different from anything else that we heard earlier will not strike us right in the first hearing. the beauty in the song becomes apparent after a while. it happens with many ARR songs and some IR songs.

I read in many posts that songs of some movie are great after listening to them repeatedly though they are not OK first time they hear.
I never had this experience. If I like when I hear, thats it if I dont like, even after listening 10 times, I will have the same liking for that song.
What difference does it make after repeatedly listening to a song. You are going to listen to the same, song doesnt change. So why the song get better?
Can any one let me know..How does it get better? It can be better when you watch a movie. But just listening how can a song change?
