2 credits ayina teesukovachu , asalu one credit ayina teesukovachu. Kani ila mostly last semesters lo chestaru. Endhukante appatiki coures work mostly ayipothundhi & then you can take signature from advisor stating that only research is remaining and can enroll in less number of credits like 1 or 2 creidts. Alanti case lo India ki velli ravachu.
Student must submit UnderEnrollmentForm In the beginning of the semester. Normally advisors sign these froms in the above said situation.

If your friend did this in first semester, it will be little difficult to justify. He might not be having advisor. So he has to take form from Dept chair. |

For any international student you must register as full timer. That is 9 credit Hrs( ~ 3 courses).If no course work then students register for Research hours to maintain status.Other wise you will be out of status.
If any student wants to enroll in less number of credits than 9 credits, then he/she must submit a form (in UNiv International center)signed by Advisor stating the reason, in the beginning of every semester.
I think your friend should contact his UNiv Interenational Center & they will solve this problem. But his advisor must sign the form for less number of credits.
Generally School International Student center staff will be very helpful, so ask him to contact them. |

i think he needs to get his status reinstated for that he gets permission from INS or something.
international office can handle that, its little pain in the ass but no need to leave usa i guess.
one of my friend had been out of status, his prof got involved and sorted out the matter. |
