well, do not have more personal examples to be more non-useless.  know of one case
- in food processing
- only MS, but a couple of papers, worked in some field which was quite hot in those days , circa 1998
- got some interviews from profs and his superiors and sent them to INS
- it was liberal in those days, they let him through
for your case to work, you gotta show strong clauses. would recommend a letter from any big shot you can imagein. sometimes the local senator's office or congressman's office might be lenient. that would be a big booooon.
I think patents are a strong point, with a good lawyer - must be easy. More later ..

15 publications - 5 Journal 10 Conference.
2 submitted patents -- under review.
PhD in COmputer Science - general area of expertise Homeland Security.
