Now look at this - Mexico is out of question - Canada lo cancellations bagane dorukutaayi - I have heard of quite a few cases where people who login with consistent freqency can cash in on cancellations - ( I am one of them) -
India lo "emergency" ki vunna definition lo Chalam Sodarudi case validate avuthundo ledo choodaali ante - the case has to be considerable serious - for ex a littl more serious than getting married for example IMO.
Now - the next big deal is if you do not have an American consulat within drivable vicinity - you would have to prepare for that - becuase appearing for a VISA ata Canadiam emabsssy requires that you have an appointment letter to show.( refer to my previous post).
IMO the best for you is Canada and TK is the best person who can advise you on such matters.

Not working anymore they have been busted. But it still might work - becuase these people have changed mechanics and instead of buying their way in they are now hiring people - who keep refreshing all trhe time and catch cancellations.

If The Candian VISA is for appearing at any of the US COnsulate Generals - an "appointment letter" issued by the particular embassy - will subsitute for normal rules of visiting which require sponsor letters for either comapies or relatives.
But in both cases ,the applicant is issued a Visitor Visa (V) single entry (65 US$, Multiple 110 US$) - the time frame of the single entry visa varies from 2-6 months.
You can appear at Washington DC on the same day before 1200 - preferably 1100 and you can pick it up from 3:30 onwards - I am not sure of the times in other places.
