This is pretty much the scenario my employer told me when i first entered to US. he told me not to apply for a job until i get ssn. He asked me to enjoy first couple of weeks until i get SSN and then worry about job. |

Also talk to ur consulatant and ask him to pay ur min. advances for living.  this is dumb. |

I asked about couple of times to my employer about that he told them i can't generate payslip without SSN, wait for SSN.
I got 5 weeks original timesheets and 1 original with him.
Its really very painful my starting days even though I got a job within 15 days.
I Will do now what you guys suggested. |

vega mama, if ssn is not received, which is true in your case, you need to ask your employer to pay some amount as advance. genuine gaane ikkada neeku funds problem kabatti, if your employer can not offer any advance or pay, just tell him that you have not option but to return back to India....
naa ku telisi billing vunna yevarini kolporu, they will make arrangements to have paid thru advance.. |
