i think u need to get it converted to H1 first and then only ur company can process u for green card...but i am not sure...ur OPT is expiring july 2005....dont worry abt it,u can apply for H1 quota starting from October 2005 ie for the calender year 2005-2006.From april 2005 they start accepting H1 applications,so,even if ur OPT expires before oct 2005 u r still in status as u filed ur application before july 2005... naakunna knowledgetho edho cheppa...eppudo vinna sangathulu...epudo chaduvukunna englisu...grammar thappuluntey kshaminchu...asalu arthame thappaithey marninchu... I need information regarding applying for "Green Card" processing. Here is my question: If I am on student status and going to work on OPT (OPT is going to expire on July 2005) for an industry, is the industry elgible to apply for "Green Card" for me? please post your suggestions/thoughts. I am very much worried about my status; as my opt is expiring in july 2005 and no job yet. i am expecting to get a job in 45+ days. i am a science graduate student. thanks a lot in advance |
