Dear fellow Rah'maniac' [I seem to love that term] Reading your mail, I could relate to every bit of it. About how Rahmans music spreads peace. I can't stop listening to 'Vellai Pookal' as still, till this day, it brings tears to my eyes. Every decible of his music has meaning. I was infected by his contagious music eversince a young age, probably when Roja came out. Till today, I cannot find the same bliss in any other music other than Rahmans [I'm not being biased. I still enjoy other music but only Rahmans fills my heart]. Even right now, listening to 'Yeh Jo Des Hai Tera', not knowing a word of Hindi, I'm enjoying every single bit of it. Simply because his music brings everything out of the song. You don't have to know what he's singing about to enjoy it, it is all in the tune, the melody and the rhythm. Be it an upbeat song like Yakkai Thiri, or a mellow one like Vellai Pookal, it is just so captivating. You won't feel like hearing anything else. Thats just how addicted I am to 'Swades'. I'm hooked onto it. Right here, right now, my mother is talking [nagging, rather] to me. And what am I doing? Listening to Yunhi Chala Chal, bopping my head to the music and smilling at her. Rahman sir, if you ever by any chance stumble upon this group of your biggest fans, I'd just like to let you know that your music touches more than my soul. Its deeper than that. Thank you for every single thing you have done for us, your fans. With your music, you help us through our worst, and are there during our best. I cannot thank you enough. Rahmaniacs, it doesn't matter how many awards he has gotten, or how many copies his albums have sold. Its how much his music touches just the few of us, that matters. I hope I'm making sense as an innocent 15 year old. I'm truly sorry if I have offended anyone in the process of expressing what I feel about ARR sir's music. Thanks for creating this lovely group for me to be part of. Truly proud to belong here.
