hi guys...
You are right..After the general elections ..selected members choose their legelative party leader or parliamentary party leader ...
Then the House leader, of single largest party ,which is entitled to form the government becomes chief minister or prime minister...
Incase none of the parties in the center or state get required number of seats to form the government ..then different parties can join to form a coalation government...
In this case where there is no single largest party..PM can be from any of the parties in the alliance....or he/she may be any member choosen by all the leaders of individual parties in the alliance... |

parliamentary party leadership is completely internal..its party personam matter...
but PM is constitutionally defined post...
