yea rediff mama, 2nd point will work excelelnt for us..

we can take parthiv patel as No.12 and he will keep the wickets while bowling and while batting he will bat instead of some bowler!!!

so that we get an extra batsmen and a nice keeper!

3.BATTING SIDE CAN CHOSE THE 15 OVER RESTRICTIONS

NEW DELHI: The International Cricket Council's Cricket Committee-Playing has suggested a few recommendations in the rules of the game. One of them could to dismiss both batsmen on the same ball. The committee has suggested these changes could first be trialed in the domestic one-day competitions. By way of this rule if the ball is still in 'play' even after a dismissal, the fielding side can try and get the other batsman out too.
According to a press statement released after ICC's meeting in Dubai, the experiments would have to be approved by the chief executives of the Test playing nations who are to meet here in June.
A suggestion has also been made where overthrows as a result of the ball rebounding from a batsman's body or bat will be scrapped. But if the ball deflects off the stumps the runs will continue to be counted.

Captains could have some more thinking to do if these recommendations become legislation. They can play with 12 players in their team but bat and field with only 11.

The committee headed by former India captain Sunil Gavaskar also suggested that the batting side can nominate the 15 overs in which fielding restrictions could apply in one-day game.

This too could be trialed in domestic one-day competition. What more, these overs need not be bowled consecutively.

The minimum number of overs to constitute a one-day International be reduced to 20 overs a side from the current 25.

The committee wasn't as liberal on use of communication between the on and off-field staff. So, whatever the late Hansie Cronje and Bob Woolmer did with their telecommunication during the 1999 World Cup will continue to be a one-off instance.

In one-day matches where the play begins on a reserve day, there shall be no re-toss or change in eleven made on the first day unless the two captains arrive at an agreement. Tests and one-day internationals which are abandoned without a ball being bowled may be included in records provided the toss has been made.
