I have seen this movie and these are my feelings...
Plus
- those people living in cities who have absolutely no ideas abt the problems farmers face should watch this movie.
- the problems that a farmer faces because of brokers, lack of electricity/water is addressed well.
- overall u can watch this movie as it gives an idea of a real position of an "anna daata"...
since i come from an agricultral family, i was able to relate some of the scenes to real life.
comedy scenes
- vellu choopinche scene
- tiger to polam dunne scene
- sobhanam rojuna manchan viragotte scene (mana tiger "dhaatiki" manchalu virigi potayi).
- tiger NHK's performance in all scenes EXCEPT climax and some serious scenes where he fights for farmers. every other scene is a comedy....
Like ramu annayya said if the same movie were made with a senior hero like Krishna this movie would have been a big hit with B and C centers. |

Thak your for your comments. I agree on the comedy and the taking beig bad. The story is not continous. But whenever the farmers prolems were being shown, they were shot well.
The dialouges were great and of-course the climax(DNR was awesome). The songs "Kaadi Eddulu", and the last song were very brinatly shot. NHK was good in the last half-hour. I am totally convinced that he is a good actor. <<period>>

you have a point as far as the portrayal of nhk's role in the movie is concerned (trying to show him in a larger than life image). but if they don't show him that way, it will end up as r. nArAyaNa murthy's film. r. nArAyaNa murthy had a set of fans who watch his movie no matter how the movie is. but i don't think they would have appreciated nhk in that role. same is the case with the normal movie goer. they go to his movie expecting him in a larger than life role and if they see him wearing a panca without a shirt and semi grown beard with a black shawl on the shoulders, with a dappu in his hands, they would run away from the theatre the next minute. he will end up like a dObhI kA kuttA. they should have chosen p.c. reddy as the director and should have included mahAradhi, nAgabhairava etc. in the story department.

good points.
basically hero image ganaka oka character ni dominate cheste ilane vuntundi. paiga daruna kumar gadini enduku pettaro telidu. same with lot other characters.
right from the beginning they could have shown the farmer's problems and thp's fight on it. Then it would have been well. 70% of the movie hero (read as nhk) ni highlight cheyyadamtoni thp (character) ki value poindi.
P.S.: Veguchukkalu is the movie that is surprised so many people in recent times. Does anyone have vhs/vcd?? Few who saw the movie said it really dealt with globalization and other issues almost upto the core though his movies end with a violent climax in favour of naxalism.

regarding the climax of this movie, the director, the writer, the hero and other prominent leaders (who represent the farmers or who know the problems the farmers face) couldn't come up with a satisfactory climax and approached dAsari nArAyaNa rao for an advice. dAsari happily agreed to write and direct the entire climax.

the dialogues in the climax scene are execellent.
I especially liked the dialogue, 'vyavasAya kEndramaina gunTUru jillA'
it has some similarities to superstar's movie prajArAjyam especially the scenes where krishna goes to the minister (who is on a visit to the town) with the dead body of a farmer and ridiculing the role of the middlemen in fixing the price for the crop.

concept of the movie is good. No doubt. Dramatization of the some scenes also very good. agreed.
problem enti ante THP loki Haranna vellakunda Haranna loki THP velladu. danto characterization ni Image debbateesindi. paiga too many characters and no proper characterization for them.
remember brahmaji, ganesh and his flashback episode. alage pedda pedda actors ni pettaru kabatti (especially villians) edo oka padu pani cheyyali annattu choopincharu.
sudden gaa cold storage issue asala kanapadadu. mottam Tomatoes ni road meeda posesi vellipotunattu choopiste scene pandedi plus real gaa kooda ade jarugutondi.

I strongly differ with your opinion this movie. I am very sorry to say this but I have feeling that this is teh best movie by BHK by far.
Both th scenes you have mentioned lack intesity, but any movie of any hero has such scenes.
I was really thrilled by the way Samudra has build the intesityu in th second half. The performance of NHK was tremendous, I personally think that no other contemporary actor can endow such a performance.
The dialouges and the problems faced by the farmers have been elaborately discussed.
I STRONGLY recommend this movie to anybody from an argicultural bacground and also to a normal cinegoer.
I am willing to discuss more about this, if you are willing.

most of the scenes are predictable and boring.
