A.M.Ratnam postponed the release of 7-G Brindavan Colony by a week after its Tamil version has turned to be a super hit.
The film is the launch vehicle of Ravi Krishna, his son who has been able to get appreciation for his role as a carefree irresponsible youth. Actually Ratnam wanted a simulateneous release but in the last minute he did not want to clash the film with Chiranjeevi’s Shankar Dada MBBS.

Now the film has to be cleared by censors and Ratnam plans to release the film on October 29 or may even push it to Diwali. Director Selvaraghavan and Ratnam are so busy promoting the Tamil version in a big way that they have no time to see to the release of the Telugu version.

Been waiting for this movie..telugu lo release cheyyakunda tamil lo release chesesaadu..
selvaraghavan and yuvan make a good pair and delivered two good hits before.. one of them being kaadal kondein..ee film songs kooda baagunnayi(ofcourse go for tamil as ratnam saab penned the telugu version and kampu chesesaadu)..rojoo aragatheesthunnanu..

The smile is back on producer A.M.Ratnam’s face. He is a happy man as 7-G Rainbow Colony is turning out to be a super smash hit all over Tamilnadu. Remember there are no big stars and the film was hyped as “a Selvaraghavan film”.

7-G Rainbow Colony marks the debut of Ratnam’s son Ravi Krishna as the hero and the audience are going ga-ga about Kadhir and Selvaraghavan’s style of film making.

Says Varadaraja Chettiar of Devi theatre Chennai: “The film has taken a bumper opening like a superstar film. The word-of-mouth is excellent and looks like it is going to be a super hit”.

In Coimbatore, where the film released a day later due to late arrival of prints it has taken a 100 percent opening, on Saturday and Sunday, in spite of heavy rains and floods in the city.

At Madurai youngsters are thronging the theatre and in Theni, a B station where only formula films run, 7-G Rainbow Colony has reported a 100 percent opening.

When contacted A.M.Ratnam told Sify.com: “I am thrilled by the fantastic opening that the film has taken. All credit goes to Selvaraghavan for his excellent story telling and packaging which seemed to have worked with the audience”.
