Artesia(LA) lo baaga crowds vacchru (400 out of 450). Saw the movie with Tuntari and few of my other friends. Danemma Comedy chinchi chaata chesaadu Chiru. Too much timing. First time class loki enter ayye scene maatram arupulu. There isn't much acting scope for Chiru's parents, so the choice doesn't matter there. Paresh Rawal is apt for that role, and he didn't overact like his previous movies. Srikanth is ok, telangana slang antaga pandaledu. Venumadhav baaga chesaadu. Movie ekkada bore kottaledu. Itz a hit for sure. Overall dil kush chesaadu. Worth every penny for my trip to Artesia.
Drawbacks...
Fights are redundant, anavasaranga pettaru. Especially the second one. Also Chiruz looking trim in some sings(naa peru kaanchanamala) and not in others. Compounding to that the closeup shots on him.
Future thoughts.....
(1) Cut down on his dancing skills. Eee movie dances lo anta grace ledu. Fans might protest in the beginning and surely can be taken care of with his acting skills.
(2) Strive for variety roles and stop remakes. Fan base ku eppudu dhoka vundadu. Can play godfather, don, comissioner kind of roles. Enough of remakes and freemakes. |

My comments on SD MBBS:
SD MBBS is one heck of a movie. This is much much better than the original. Chiru excelled in the comedy role. His TENGLISH is damn good and got very good response from the crowd. For the people who claim chiru is for only dances watch this movie.

All I can is, It has been one of the most enjoyable days in recent times for me. I saw Shankar Dada MBBS with my grandmother, brother and Uncle. Right from the word GO, there has never been a dull moment in the movie. This movie
had the crowd in splits almost 95% of the time. The best part is even emotional scenes invoked a great response. Overall an excellent entertainer from Chiru.
When Chiru appeared on the screen in titles, the entire auditorium (FYI FULL to the BRIM ! please check with exhibitors Bharni and Sridhar before listening to any fairy tales from third parties) shouted wildly. Never and I mean NEVER have I seen such a kind of adulation. Tagore and Indra had crowds shouting wildy but for Shankar Dada MBBS the crowd chanting even beat the earlier movies. ABSOLUTELY BREATH-TAKING EXPERIENCE
watching the auditorium go GA-GA for Chiru. Girls showed that they no less when it comes to adulating Chiru. Incidentally, a group of girls sitting before me was very vibrant. Throughout the movie shankar dada mbbs hu ha hu ha mantra was being chanted.
Chiranjeevi - Emani Varninchanu maa guru gaari gurinchi ? Its a ONE MAN SHOW.
Chiru showed his NATA VISWAROOPAM with his EXTRA-ORDINARY performance in COMEDY and EMOTIONAL scenes. He proved he is the BEST in comedy timing whether its dialog delivery or facial expressions. His translation of telugu samethalu, scenes with Paresh Rawal, Intro scenes (where he tries to prove that he is a doctor) and college scenes got enormous response. His walking style had the theatre in splits and everyone cheered to the top of their voices. Even when he cries in the movie, it looked real and I am happy as a fan that he is not over-acting or showing unwanted hysteria even while doing emotional
scenes. His performance when he tries to cure an old man (carrom board player) and at the death scene of Rohit was very good. There are no special steps but Chiru showed his grace to add to the rhytm of Devisri Prasad's songs. "Teen-Maar" step (in the second song) got maximum response from the audience.
Others:
Srikanth and Rohit did well. Paresh Rawal was ok. Sonali is looking aged in this movie but still can make viewers drool with her looks (Gaali anna listening ?). Girish Karnad was ok and so was Venniradai Nirmala (who plays Chiru's mother).
Highlights:
- Chiranjeevi's NATA VISWAROOPAM
- Boisterous HOUSE FULL crowd. The exhibitors had to refuse tickets to many people. Kindly confirm 
- Telugu samethalu
- Good emotional scenes.
- Good screenplay (Ekkada bore kottadu).
- Good organization by exhibitors. They went an extra mile by distributing sweets to the audience. SMS mama, his friend (an active member of the Washington telugu association) and Bharni also welcomed my uncle (IAS officer on an official visit to the USA) by offering a bouqet and welcoming him to the show.
- Fans of other heroes enjoyed this movie very much.
Negative Points:
- Fights. Seemed unnecessary and artificial.
This movie is a must watch for all movie lovers. TIME PASS and an excellent entertainer. If someone can find faults with this
type of good entertainer (no vulgarity and no cheap dialogs) then god alone can save them !
My rating for movie : 4.5/5
My rating for Chiru : 10/5 (yes 10/5).
