The modern school building will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy on November 1, the second day of his ‘Rajiv Pallebata’ programme in the district. Reddy, who seemed to be satisfied with the new school building, said that the students would achieve a lot if they were provided with basic facilities at the primary level.

‘‘Age between 12 and 16 years is very crucial. If we lay a better foundation for their career at that stage, the students will do miracles in their future career,’’ he opined.

Revealing his future programmes, Ramakrishna Reddy said that he was planning to connect all the five ZP high schools in the division through computer network and provide computer education to the students of these schools.

‘‘I will invite computer experts from the US if necessary,’’ he added.

Providing scholarships to the poor students, sponsoring sports and events and conducting health camps with the help of his brother Veera Reddy were some of the plans of this philanthropist.

Born and brought up in Narasapuram, a small village located about 15 km from here, Ramakrishna Reddy settled down in the US in the much-hyped software field.

Not forgetting his motherland, Reddy, along with his younger brother Dr Veera Reddy, contributed Rs 80 lakh for the construction of Zilla Parishad High School in his native village on behalf of Sudireddy Nagireddy, Audilakshmamma Memorial Society, which was established in the names of his parents.
