Sankranthi Releases!
Telugu cinemas biggest season starts on December 15 and culminates on January 14-2005 Sankranthi Day. The highlight of Sankranthi is the release of eight or more films featuring at least five big stars in Tollywood.
This year Sankranthi season starts with Balakrishna’s Vijendra Varma on December 15 followed by Nagarjuna’s Mass Dammunte Kasko on 23rd.
The New Year starts on January 1 with Teja’s Dhairyam and Pawan Kalyan’s Balu on January 6. Finally on Sankranthi Day, there is Venkatesh’s Sankranthi, NTR’s Alludu, Sumanth’s 51 and Prabhu Deva directed NNN with Siddharth.
It cannot get bigger than this as all big stars except Chiranjeevi has a release during this season. In a way it will determine the number two star in the Telugu industry. None of the biggies lined up are going to have smooth run as every week there is a new release to spoil the box-office opening and eat into their collections.
