For several reasons including the much-reported fire shooting at Balakrishna’s residence few months ago, his film, Vijayendraverm, has created much curiosity. Likewise it is released with much fanfare on Wednesday, but the film fails to impress. It’s a very ordinary flick with stupid action sequences, computer generated stunts, outdated patriotic jingoism. Added to the film's too lengthy and second half of the film is not convincing.

As I said, those action sequences and patriotic jingoism may appeal to his hardcore fans but even they can’t digest the too lengthy second half. First half goes smoothly, second half has dragged too much. In between, there is sentiment that is very outdated and clichéd. It remains to bee seen the film would click big way after the initial fury. It is common fans would be in frenzy in the first week, but it is likely to be lapped by common audiences. |
