did any one saw seven samurai this is akhrio kurasaava movie if u see this u will know how many movies has got inspired from this one even hollywood movies and our own indian movies like sholays theme is same but a bit different story line whereas khote sikkey is totally the same theme with story line too. |

One more conflict in my mind Basha released in 1995, and SSR in 1998. The scriptwriter of SSR -Vijayendra Prasad himself accepts every movie of his is inspired from some movie or da other. So, amongst scripting circles in tollywood "basha format" ante - flashback lo hero pedda puddingi. he will go into hiding, and will stay away from his native town for some reason. later, he will comeback to his real identity for revenge.
ide format lo vacchina cinemas - SSR, Narasimha Naidu, Indra, Adi, Mass, Balu. One of da most gripping format and most successful ante ide.
And mana telugu cinema lo "LOVE STORY" ante oke format - "Boy will meet girl. First he will tease her and she will hate him. later it will turn into love. parents wont accept their love, and the struggle begins." Dil, Idiot, Run and most other films - ide formula. Arya was an exception anduke include chesanu, but now I removed.
Aa vishyaniki vaste - the idea of Badri is terrific. Knowing that she is not good enuf to giv birth to kids, Renu will plan this whole idea of making Pawan fall in love with some one else. Hero-heroine's parents clashing is the only "formula part" in this film. but for 2000 it was fresh enough.

French connection had amazing chase scenes , i dont remeber steady cam shots(it might have been there), but i guess even evil dead has trolley shots which is not entirely steady cam but a camera on a rail.

i am not sure but steady cam became very popular after Stanley used in "the shining" where the boy strolls down in his tricycle in the hotel.
i dont think the shining was before anveshana or maybe it was around that time.
people might have used before but it was more prominent after shiva i guess |

bible ante naa list , i am trying to segragate according to genre and didnt go beyond 80's. from each of these movies atleast one theme has been added to telugu cinema.
1. shiva: the ultimate redifining film for the stye of 80's, if shiva was not made telugu cinema will be on the same par with kannada.
2. April 1 vidudala: the perfect comedy film. theme being rustic humour with hints of lustness always succeds with the audience.
3. tholiprema: a perfect love story for the 90's, hero can be an introvert and still be liked by all.
4. SSR: an action film based on a template, i mean untill then we had general kinds of action films but not developed on a specific environment. this movie had showed that to create a succesful action film , the environment is very important apart from the action.
5. Gang Leader: The first super hero film where hero has tremendous attitude. i mean untill hero was shown stylily with different fighting scenes but no one had an attitude.
this hero has the attitude and takes on everyone who comes in his way.
6. Nuvvu Naaku nachavu: romance movie can always succed if it caters to the general fantasies of people.
7. Anveshana: the perfect thriller for telugu cinema, no thriller has even tried to beat this one in its suspense or eerieness.
my other personal favourites:
Mutya manta muddu: a socio fantasy romance film, i am not sure why but it has this mystic theme to it which is not a familiar sight in telugu movies. |

Viswamitra mama - we dint buy for west godavari, but were one of da partners in utthar andhra. asalu west maa side eh kadu.
Also - naku storyline lone anta freshness vacchina cinema arya. last lo heroine ni aa village ki teeskelladam, "lover's lover ni safegaurd cheyyadam" asalu aa concepts eh highlight. being a megafan I dint include any of Chiru/Pawan hits till now. Why wil I include allu's hits? |

To be called "THE BIBLE OF TELUGU CINEMA" the movie need not be a commercial superhit, but even average commercial success will do. Formula based films are a totally NO-NO, unless and until they are trendsetters or the first film to set off the trend. I dont want to sit and compile the entire list, which might stop you from thinking beyonf them. In recent times, I would add these films
1) Okkadu - Masterpiece. Started the trend of ramping shots, string work usage in Telugu cinema.
2) Arya - Excellent screenplay. Without hilarious comedy track, how to generate comedy and entertain the audience ani ee cinema lo telusuokovacchu.
The films below that lost out and why??
1) Basha - Though it started off the trend, where the hero stays in another town maintaining a low profile seeking revenge, its a tamil dubbing film.
2) Tagore - It was a brainchild of a Tamil person called Murugadas, but was well remade by V.V Vinayak.
3) Kushi - Though there is a hell a lot of difference between the telugu and tamil version, the basic storyline is a tamil one, hence the film looses out. The trend of "dissolve effect" in Editing, and "Suggestion shot" in telugu cinema began with Kushi. Also, the importance of "sound effects" (not background score) was realized after this film.
3) Aite : Though it doesnt have SCALE and range at box office to be called Bible, this small movie also should fit into the collection as - it was done on the lowest budget with good technical qualities, highest degree of unpredictability. It shows if there is content, the audience will appreciate the film whatever it is.
Nuvve Kavali, Show : Though these films were superhit, they have mere entertaining screenplay, but nothing that make them everrgreen.
Nuvvu Naku Nachchav : Highly entertaining episodes, but many episodes were lifted from Hollywood flicks such as "Meet The Parents" and other famous films. Not a totally oringial idea. Same applies for Manmadhudu, Nuvve Nuvve.

Suggestions : Samarasimha Reddy > Though a total forumla based flick, it was a trendsetter which set off the faction movies fad in telugu cinema. I am thinking whether to include or not.
Bhairadveepam > I think it also can be included in one of the top films of telugu cinema. It dint release recently, but it should make it to the final list.
