continuation to my posts on the heroes influenced the telugu industry, this time i am posting on the rival hero of my favourite star ssk, who is none other than chiranjeevi. though chiranjeevi started his career in late seventies as a villain and converted to an upcoming hero after that. his position in telugu industry challenged ssk with the movie Khaidi, which created tremors at the box-office that time. during my thirty years of telugu fim knowledge, i have seen how chiranjeevi became as a popular artiste in telugu field, and how he is dictating the box-office potential in the present time. though movies before khaidi has given him the recognition as an upcoming hero, he came to the position challenging the stardom of ssk with his ease in dance moments and action. as he was young that time, most of the young generation had the passion of watching his movies in the very first day. chiranjeevi became a symbol of the identity for young generation, and college students used to imitate him a lot, and for college girls he was like a dream boy. and from then he acted in many movies satisfied most of his fans. by selecting good scripts and good directors chiranjeevi became an undisputed number one in late eightees. his movies ayam, ym, vijetha, yama kinkarudu, pp, gm, jvas, gg, abhilasha, challenge, rakshasudu, etc are few examples to tell about his blockbuster movies which has taken him to the peak. at one time the day of chirangeevi movie release became a nightmare for the opponent hero fans. he tried some offbeat movies also which had a lot of scope for action (like rudraveena, aaradhana, swayamkrushi, aapadbhandavudu, etc), and his success in them was relatively small compared to his commercial movies. hence he continued as a commercial hero mostly. still chirangeevi continuing his dominance in the telugu film industry with his authenticity in dances (at this age also), and his perfect timing. he is the only hero at present who has following in at all ages |
