Main reason is inertia,,,Once you are here you wont feel going to other place.. Unless someone forces who will go..

by the time my bro's 485 got approved he is not married. so without filing he went to india and after marriage looks etc., one girl is finalized. there was considerable gap like 6months for marriage. as he cant wait until then we arranged for a SHOW marriage in temple, took pics, registered it, made her flew to US and filed for 485 and sent her back. later he got married again. abbo saanaa pedda story nadipamu. tarvata inkodu maa friend vachhi 485 file cheyyali pelli kaledu ante ide procedure cheppi aa ammaini maa intlone pettukuni same story repeat!!

I have seen my friends they are trying hard to be here with kids growing up and not able to manage them. But they are just waiting to get a Citizen ship so that they can have a freedom of coming back and forth without any problem..
Key for most of them is that with GC, they need to come every year.. With Citizen ship they dont need to..
They are not feeling house as hurdle. Most of them have houses..

my bro got everything in 2yrs time (delay was because he was not marrid that time adn we had to arrange for that)

PD mama GC ante you don't need any visas to work and some benefits ( when you are fired , you can claim un employement money for about 6 months)
American citizen ship will given after 5 years of your greencard . |
