this may be a controversal discussion, but would like to post it again.
few weeks backs when balu was released I opened a thread that right now mahesh has edge over pk and jr as his recent movies nijam and arjun fared well compared to johnny/andhrawala; and balu/naa alludu, as these were their 8th and 10th films.
it was obvious that nani the ninth film of mahesh was behind gs and samba (the ninth films of pk and jr respectively). but with the movies like nijam and arjun, his position in the general audience may not went up, but did not come down (though they were not huge hits), especially because of his action. but with the movies johnny (personally I like this movie)/balu; and andhrawala/naa alludu, pk and jr's lost some of their popularity.
the main problem with mahesh and pk is that they are not doing films at regular intervals of time, but jr is better in this aspect.
right now mahesh has an edge over pk and jr; in future it depends on their number of movies released and their hit range. |
