dutt NTR tO tIsindi renDu movies. one before aDavi rAmuDu and one after aDavi rAmuDu and both were made in the direction of k.bApayya. i always wonder what kind of a movie it would have been had dutt produced a movie in the combo of NTR and KRR.
even though aDavi rAmuDu took NTR's mass image to the new heights, it was edurulEni manishi that got him the modern day mass image which was produced by dutt. in my opinion the song 'kasigA undi, kasi kasigA undi kalavaka kalavaka kalisinanduku khassu manTundi, kasakku manTU kATEy manTundi' from edurulEni manishi had opened the flood gates for several of NTR's song like 'ArEsukObOyi pArEsukunnAnu', 'AkucATu pinde tAdisE', 'cilaka koTTuDu koDitE', 'OlammI tikka rEgindA' etc. |

Any idea about the differences the producers had with sr NTR. Even after the movie became resounding success also the producers and NTR didnt work together again.
Next they made around 4-5 movies with Krishna and finally made Bhale Thammudu with NBK
don't know if there were specific differences between NTR and the producers. if they had differences with NTR, they wouldn't have made a movie with NBK later. only a few of the new producers made more than one movie with NTR after 1977 and arjuna rAju and siva rAju of rOjA movies are one of them. the other being KDV prasAd and NTR's own banner. to accomodate dates for KDV and s.venkaTa ratnam (who produced yamagOla with NTR earlier) he promised before announcing his entry into politics he had to do a movie for a joint venture by them. that is made on pallavi dEvi films (pallavi films is s.venkaTa ratnam's and dEvi film productions is KDV's) and the movie is nA dESam.
gajadonga was jointly produced by kaikAla nAgESvara rao (brother of satyanArAyaNa) and chalasAni gOpi on vijaya durga creations banner which is formed with the names of their daughters (vijaya is either KNR's or satyanArAyaNa's daughter, but durga is gOpi's daughter).
coming back to satyachitra, they have announced a movie by the name 'lorry driver' with SS but later was dropped. people say that the same story was used for NTR's driver rAmuDu. may be there might be a misunderstanding because of this among satyacitra owners and NTR. |

That was produced by Roja movies. They also produced another blockbuster "Kondaveeti Simham" with NTR..

very well written dialogues by lAte Sri jandhyAla, well written songs by SrI vETUri, excellent photography by vincent, excellent music by Late SrI K.V.M, the direction of KRR and last but not the least the mass appeal of Late Sri NTR made this movie a memorable one for the masses.
after the release of peLLisandaDi, it was written in a magazine that KRR always comes up with a movie that is comparable to bollywood. after the success of sholay, the following year he delivered a hit in AP in the form of aDavirAmuDu which went on to run for 1 year in 4 centers the then indian record for a movie to run in more centers in a single state beating sholay's 3 in mahArAshTra. there is some comparison to HAHK and peLLisandaDi as well which were released one year apart. |

In an interview to Bhavana Sowmaya, the chief editor of the G magazine, a leading music director blamed Amithab Bacchan's Deewar for sabbotaging the quality of music in Hindi cinema till the late 80's.
He had a point because the super success of Deewar-Zanjeer made him a star-made Amithab a "super hero" .
Since his presence was enough to guarantee a film's commercial success, all other aspects of film making took a back seat and scripts started accomodating his larger than life image. While Bollywood was going through this transformation, one movie brought about similar changes in our industry. And it is none other than Adavi Ramudu.
In a manner of speaking, Adavi Ramudu was a watershed since it popularised the concept of "escapist cinema"-movies that are beyond the realms of reality and reason but which make audience forget their mundane affairs.Released in 1977, this film created box-office wonders and completed its 100 days run in 32 centers directly. By doing so, it bettered the earlier record set by Devudu Cheesina Manushulu (28).
Main beneficiaries:
1.Many people benefitted from the phenomenal success of this film, the first being its director K.Raghavendra Rao. Though his first movie Babu was a fairly successful, it was this film that catapulted him into
the league of super directors. With a single thread- a forest office on a mufty to curtail poaching in a
forest- KRR offered one hundred and eighty "blockbusting minutes" of entertainment to viewers. Infact, his commercial recipe became so popular that his own school of film making emerged soon in the field.
2. 1977 was a dream come true for NTR. With two sensational hits- Yamagola being the
other- in six months, he became the primus inter pares (first among equals) of Telugu cinema.
3. Adavi Ramudu was also a huge break for Jandhyala- "charithra adakku, cheppeedhi vinu",
"PAKOKU-Paadekki Kodilaa Koosthaa", "Raamaa anna boothugaa vinapaduthundhi" etc became
popular then-, Veturi Sundara Ram Moorthy- "Krushi Untee Manushulu",
"Ennallakennalakennalaku", " Kookilamma Pelliki". Though K.V.Mahadevan did not gain anything new from this movie, it certainly strengthend his status as the number one music director in business then.
Highlights:
1. Songs, certainly were the main paying points for this film. While "Aaareesukoobooyi"
shook the masses, "Kokilamma Pelliki" will forever remain a connoisseurs delight for its
audio visual extravaganza. "Ennallakennalakennaalaku" is an ageless theme song, while
"Krushi untee" remains as one of the best solo songs.
2. Animal stunts (in the film) went a long way in making the producers hit the ball out of the park. The many people who could
not afford a circus ticket then, got a chance to watch Elephants a) do Shiva pooja,
b)help the hero take his shower, c) rescue him several times from the villains etc. To
cap it, the movie also has the hero fighting with a lion.
3. NTR's mass appeal, ofcourse, was the rai·son d'ê·tre behind the super success. Be it
in fights ( the rope fight in night effect is a class act), songs (the step where
he joins both his hands in the air and bends slightly in "Areesukoobooyi"), or
in comedy scenes with Sulamania get up, NTR was at his majestic best.
In a nut shell, this is a quintessential commercial film, whose can even allure the current audience.
