Just before the release of NTR’s Naa Alludu, there were reports that producer Giri had been absconding and defaulted pays to distributors. There was lot of hungama at Labs to repay the dues. The film was released only after NTR’s close aide and brother like Kodali Naani paying the amount. And nowhere producer Giri was spotted then, so everyone thought he was absconding.
But that was not the truth, if we were to believe Giri.
He tells a different story than we have heard so far. According to him, actually, it is Giri who suffered due to Kodali’s defaults.
When Kodali Naani needed amount to release the prints of Sambha from laboratory, producer Giri reportedly given a guarantee letter that he’d pay the amount later in case of Naani’s default. So the labs released the prints of Sambha starring NTR. Giri had given the letter as he got dates for NTR’s dates for next film.
So Naani cleared the amount what he had to pay at the time of Naa Alludu release, according to Giri, contrary to the belief of ‘Naani’s generous act’.
Some even say, Giri lost lot of money on this film and in the end had to sell off his house.
But again, there are contradict versions from both sides.
