Rediff lost crediability.that site will give flop talk form first week itself
It declared swadesh flop.But noe swadesh is avrage movie .
In past also it put Bagbhan under flop category later after few weeks it changed to avereage and then hit
"12cr is not great amount for hindi movies"
But for these kind of movies 20-25 crores is a great amount.In interiors its very difficult to run without songs and fights.
But black producers spent almost 20 crores and so we have to wait for few weeks for full picture |

check it mama. rediff box office report said that black opened to disappointing collections all over as less as 50% collections despite the rave reviews. pls go to rediff movies and check it once again. and anyway, 12cr is not great amount for hindi movies. as u know, even our telugu movies of big stars recently are collecting around 12cr in the first two weeks. |

may be u r right.some people didn't like this movie.
Definitley its not amitabh's career best peroforamce.In 70s he gave many memorable performances
"the movie on the whole is bad and got its due result. anyone who wishes to make such a movie and buy such a movie would definitely think twice before they venture it. "

ayesha ,the 11 yr KID also acted extremely brilliantly..
mama amitabh deeni kante chaala better performances enno ichadu mama. first halflo aa arupulu avi antha over actionla anipinchindi naku.
inka aa pilla acting antava? ee madhyane eetvlo anjali cinema choosanu. makki ki makki dimpindi mama adhe acting, expressions and mannersims. aa tala voopatam, gola cheyyatamm antha same. anyway, her role was too annoying and loud.
the movie on the whole is bad and got its due result. anyone who wishes to make such a movie and buy such a movie would definitely think twice before they venture it.

BLACK : NOT worthy movie even if we talk in terms of critics. Except international look and great art work nothing was there.
Except very few , no moments touch your heart. Every thing looks like artificial.
OVER PLAY chaala ekkuva. AWARD movies ki kaavalsina arhata natural play or under play..maree sound pollution ee movie lo..
AMITAB's career best performance .no doubt..

Don't underestimate audience intelligence.
BLACK is hit in metros and steady collections in interiors.
Black hit in metros,Swadesh is avreage and all sex films bombed according to boxoffice
Swadesh 8 weeks collections are around 17 crores in India and Black 2 week collections around 12

Don't you guys feel Sharukh was not upto the mark in Veerzaara and Swadesh? Except for Amitab's voice, I feel Hritik is as good as Amitab and lot better than Sharukh. |

None of us know more than Bhat about who was behind the ad. Anyways I think Madhur Bhandarkar, Ashtosh Govarikar, and Mahesh Manjrekar are the best directors in the present lot. Coincidentally all are Marati's. I strongly feel all Mahesh Manjrekar's movies have heart in them and he directed all types of movies. |

The ad announces, "If you've watched and liked 'Munnabhai M.B.B.S.', 'Main Hoon Na', 'Murder', 'Ab Tak Chhappan', 'Girlfriend', 'Dhoom', 'Tere Naam', 'Kisna', 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi', 'Hulchal', 'Julie' and 'Rog', then please go and watch 'Black', you'll get to know the difference between a mediocre and a brilliant film."
The ad, issued by a company called Sunny Advertising, comes with a "warning" - "This is not a paid advertisement".

"Why is Bhatt talking like this about me? How am I responsible for what a fan of 'Black' has said about other films? Is Bhatt implying that I put the ad in the paper? I wish we had that kind of money to promote the film.
"I never announced myself to the world when I was a nobody during my first film 'Khamoshi'. Why would I do it now?"

Bhansali laughs with joy and embarrassment.
"It's truly gratifying to have people rally around the film in such large numbers. Every section of the audience has become possessive of 'Black', which is very reassuring for a filmmaker like me.
"I took a big risk and it has paid off. At the same time I don't want my colleagues who are gifted in their own right and who are doing their own thing to feel that my achievement undermines theirs," he says.
"The ad in Mid-Day is very touching. And I'm thankful to the people behind it who have gone through so much trouble and expense to let the world know how much they love my film. But the other films mentioned in the ad are by colleagues whom I respect.
"I don't want fans of 'Black' to create the impression that the achievements by others are in any way less valuable. Not at all! There's room in our cinema for every kind of film. I'm as happy doing my own thing as other filmmakers are doing theirs," Bhansali adds.
Between films, Bhansali feels a sense of emptiness after the release of "Black".
"The film is out and everyone has embraced it. But now I'm restless. I feel like a mother who has delivered a baby. The world is fussing over it while the mother has nothing to do. I want to move on, make another film," he says.
"There're so many other ideas that I want to put on screen. Now that 'Black' has worked so wonderfully I want to push even more in a direction that's entirely my own," says the director.
Pausing for breath, Bhansali adds: "What's been specially wonderful is the support and love I've received from all my colleagues in the film industry.
"They've all come forward in one voice to show their appreciation for what I've done. My friend Karan Johar hasn't seen 'Black'. He's been unwell. I'm dying to show it to him."
