The exhaustive survey made for a period of about 15 years by Dr D. Narayana Reddy revealed innumerable bedroom secrets of many married Indian couples.
His survey on the sample size of 15,000 couples (age groups ranging between 20 and 91) says that the normal Indian pair has sex every alternate day in their first five years of wedding, and every third day amidst five and ten years of wedding. Apart from this, there are hot, spicy and interesting truths extracted in the survey.
The extracts of the survey were published in the cover story of December20, 2004 issue of Outlook that shook the minds of millions in the subcontinent.
While some truths are reasonable, many are just transcending the mundane expectations and assumptions of the taboo-ruled and traditional Indian minds.
The survey says that the extra-marital sex has escalated 3.3 times for men in 15 years and for women it is up 14.6 times. In fact, such unleashed facts quiver the conventional Indian outlook.
The survey also revealed that 47 out of 100 men and 41 out of 100 women put on the lights during sex. It was only 18 out of 100 men and 19 out of 100 women who preferred sex in darkness. The rest have told that they are ambidextrous!
“48% of men and 46% of women are having oral sex and the rest aren’t”, says the survey.
Coming to the active participation in sex, 90 out of 100 women say that their spouses are active are active and 79 percent of men say the same on the other hand.
The research revealed that 48 percent of men are preferring nudity during sex, while the percentage is only 45 among women.
Men and women are asked to give points to the hot turn-on aspects in the opposite sex. The turn-on aspects in men for women are eyes (22 points), face (79 points), shoulders (28 points), chest (34 points) and buttocks (3 points). Coming to the likable aspects that the men see in women are eyes (13 points), face (61 points), breasts (51), waist (21) and buttocks (44).
The survey says that 54% of men and 28% of women are having pre-marital sex. Coming to the reason for extra-marital sex 33% of women say because of no sexual satisfaction with husband. In the same regard, 32% of the men say, “for variety”.
The bold survey of Mr Reddy also revealed myriad facts in the profound statistical pattern.
