Ace producer A M Rathnam is happy man these days. His film with Vijay in Tamil, Gilli, and his son's two films as hero, 7/G Brindhavana Colony and Sukkran (Tamil), have turned out to be biggest grocers in recent times. And he is now coming up with Muddula Koduku in Telugu.
But his dream has been to recreate the magic of Kushi that he did with Pawan Kalyan. Kushi was phenomenal success in Telugu. That's why when he announced his Bangaram with Pawan Kalyan last year, buyers went in frenzy.
Bangaram was launched in last September with much fanfare but till now the film is not able to go on to the sets. This raised doubts about the project. In some sections of the media, reports have already been published that the film would be shelved.
Therefore, Telugucinema.com contacted A M Rathnam to know the actual truth.
"What? This is news to me? Why would we stop the film with Pawan Kalyan. Babu (Pawan) wanted some rest before we go on to the floors. So he went to London and just flew in. I am going to talk to Babu in a day or tomorrow to plan the schedules."
He went on..
“Bangaram is prestigious project for me. Dharani (director) is charged up with this project. It is his baby, he has written a very good script.”
“There is no delay. As you know, Babu always takes risks in fighting. As everyone knows, he takes so much care for ‘real fights’. So Babu wanted to take some rest as his health was not good. He is back in full swing. We would soon go on to the sets.”
So what is the exact date?
“I will be meeting him this week and at present I can’t confirm the dates."
