YSR goes Naidu way, chants IT mantra

Hyderabad, June 14: Andhra Pradesh government has decided to wrap up all enquiries on the IT front. A new focus is on to make the state one of the top IT destinations in the country.
The Congress government, within days of taking over, had conducted an internal survey which called for massive infrastructure development apart from producing the skill sets.
Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, ahead of his meet with the industry bodies on Tuesday, is said to have given the go- ahead to the IT department to look out for possible joint venture partners across the country for infrastructure development.
The internal survey, done with inputs from various consultancy agencies, software companies, enquiries from overseas companies, expansion of companies in both IT services and BPO/IT enabled service sector, projected investments, has sought 30 million sq ft area of basic infrastructure with necessary bandwidth, water, power and other basic facilities.
