Just saw Dodgeball.. I saw some reviews saying Vince Vaughn dominated Ben Stiller, but without Ben this movie would have sucked pretty bad..
This is a typical bollywood-esque story, but with a Ben Stiller touch !! There a couple of hilarious scenes in the movie, but the sad part is that the narrative is pretty predictable, and almost all the best scenes were shown in the promos itself..
Ben Stiller gave a hilarious performance, with a great "I am not as dumb as thought I was dumb" look on his face, and an attitude matched only by his outrageous wardrobe.. Man!! this guy is a genius when it comes to comedy !!
All in all, a nice time pass, and a healthier way to blow 8 bucks instead of a weekend lunch at the McD..
My rating: 8/10 (only 'negatives' are its predictability and short duration..)
Caution: Might be a touch 'yellow comedy' at times, but still a good rib-tickling movie. |
