ramu and jammu sodaralura,
is it true that ramanaidu had problems with ntr during sipayi chinniah and he remade the movie from scratch with anr ? |

regarding venky's entry (this he told in an interview to etv in the programme mA inTi dIpAlu):
SS was supposed to do a movie for Suresh Productions. Due to other commitments, SS couldn't allocate dates. He advised rAmanaidu to join with gOpi films (the makers of Uriki monagADu) since he had to do a movie for them as well. rAmA naidu didn't want to make a movie in partnership. he told SS the same. then SS told him that he can't allocate the dates right away. then at that time venky who was interested in starting some business came back to India from the US. they had a discussion and one of them (venky, suresh or DRN) brought the idea of venky as the hero. then things started moving fast and within no time, venky was introduced in kaliyuga pAnDavulu. at the 100 days function of the movie, SS told DRN openly that 'cUsAvA naiDU. A rOju nuvvu bAdha paDutunnAvani nEnu nIku elAgOlA cinema cEsunTE cinema hit ayyunDEdO lEdO teliyadu kAnI, industry mAtram inta manci hero ni kOlpOyi unDEdi'. drn says quoting SS words, 'antaTi kalmasham lEni manishi kRshNa gAru'. that is super star

dEvata was his second comeback movie. the previous one was prEmanagar. he himself told in an interview. before the release of prEmanagar, he had continuous flops. noticing how tensed up he was before the release of prEmanagar, his wife told him that 'pOtE pOniyyanDi. mana Uriki veLLipOdAm. anavasarangA tension paDi ArOgyam pADu cEsukOkanDi'. at the time of premanagar's release it was raining heavily in coastal andhra. initial report was not known to him in madras due to communication problems because of heavy rains. he went along with a couple of production managers to tour andhra and to estimate the situation. he quoted, 'ekkaDiki pOyinA taDisina nOTlE kanipincAyi'. they went all the way upto vizag and by the time they returned to vjy, the super hit talk spread.
he made only 3 movies with ntr. SrIkrishna tulAbhAram, strIjanma are the other two.
with Superstar he made bommalu ceppina katha, savasagallu, mandegundelu, mundaDugu (did I miss some).
after prema nagar he was making movies mostly with anr. once anr went to US, he immediately made a movie with SobhanbAbu (sOggADu) that was supposed to be done by anr (hearing the rumours of the worst might happen to anr). when sOggADu became a bumper hit, to please anr who was returning from US, he removed the movie before it hit the 175 day mark (around 160th day or so). this irked Sobhanbabu, but being an upcoming star didn't say anything openly (if it had finished the 175 day mark, it would have been the first and only silver jubilee movie in Sobhanbabu's career).
