mama, there are lot of loose ends in my opinion and some things that dont make any sense. like India not targetting israel in it's attacks or Israel not taking out even paki launch capabilities, india trusting LTTE of all people etc etc. but as a story, I think it was told very well. As u say, US reaction is no surprise actually - enthakanna thegistharu.
latest RAW defection story was a great surprise, wonder if the NDA Govt screwed up things, or this was just one of those things.
