nAku telisina dAni prakAram, first culprit is music director raj. he used to be the ghost music director for s.v.kRshNA reDDi. the song cinuku cinuku andelatO from mAyalODu was first composed for BB and the rain song in BB (svAtilO mutyamanta) was composed for mAyalODu. later SVK requested VBRP and got the songs switched over. you could hear the tune of svAtilO mutyamanTa song as background music in mAyalODu when RP does the magic tricks on the road (it is similar to the tune vAnA vAnA vallappA vATEstEnE tappA that comes in between in the song svAtilO mutyamanta). in return SVKR (who was riding high on success at that time) had agreed to direct a movie with JB as hero to consolidate the success he got with gAyam (his earlier hits were like peddarikam, bhalE peLLAm, bala rAmakRshNulu etc. which didn't do him any good careerwise) and the result was Subhalagnam porduced by dutt (in partenrship with others). am not sure if NBK knows about the switching of the songs at that time (even if he did, he would have cared less because he wanted to have the movie finished and released in competetion to nippuravva at any cost due to his own personal reasons). after this raj and kOTi parted ways (only the movies they already signed had both their names). inspite of being the son of late t.v. rAju who scored some memorable songs for NAT banner and who also was a roommate of NTR during their struggling days and also a close friend of NTR until his death, rAj didn't get any offers from NBK after rAj-kOTithey parted ways and kOTi got numerous offers. |

Bangaru Bullodu was killed by producer Jagapathi Rajendra Prasad (vallaki antha manchi movie cheyyatam balayya tappu, he took the profits but cann't give publicity or cann't take care of run), but AD might have played it for 100 days in vjy, he didn't do it.
It ran for 50 days in side theater on shifts, ran for 3-4 in 3-4 theaters, at that time it was great.
On 79th day they terminated and replaced with some junk Naresh movie.
Fans burnt AD office in vjy.
Bad enti ante poyindi mana Major Chndrakanth and BB prints.
Appti nunchi Balayya fans ki Dutt ki chedindi vjy lo.
Vjy lo chala mandi Balayya fans TDP supporters ayina kani veediki evadu support cheyyaledu.
Chiru fans Radha and Lagadapatiki support chesaru.
So akkada ala bokka ippudu Balu and SCB tho ikkada bokka inka antha Jai Chiranjeeva meeda adi kuda pothe IP petti ekkada nunchi vachado akkada telatadu.

bangaru bullodu lifted on 79th day in Vizag sarath and replaced by Rowdy Alludu(ran for 3 days only and then another dubbing movie). BB citylo 6weeks patu 2 theatreslo iragadeesindi, but lifted on 79th day all of a sudden. Only after going to the theatre we got to know that it' been replaced with RA. |

ON mama, thanks for the links mama. I'm 100% sure mama, on the 100 days, I saw the list in the news papers at that time and I'm pretty sure the total number is definetely in 20s. Now I'm starting to wonder whether that includes shift and late release. At the same time, the same day released Nippuravva had direct 100 days in Rajamundry. Rajamundry holds a unique record where by both these movies had 100 direct days on the same record in the same complex.
Any how, I will try to get the theater break down and will let you know. |

Among the Bolludu series movies Gharana Bolludu got highest number of centers.

Hello Brother - Super duper hit
Everybody expected that with Govinda Govinda Nag will occupy the top slot. BUT..... Offcourse Hello Brother saved.
Govinda Govinda - Disaster - RGV vs AD vs Censor spoiled this movie eventhough it is star studded with rich production values. RGV is more responsible than AD.

Ravoyi Chandamam- AD forced Jayanth to finish off the second half in 3 weeks time. Jayanth openly criticised in media on this issue. This movie failed due to weak second half eventhough the songs are excellent. Good movie spoiled due to crash in schedule.
Azad: Agains Climax is weak. Hero Characterization not elevaed properly in second half and becomes dumb in the climax.
Nag fans & camp opinions that AD takes more care only for Chiru and never put enough efforts for Nag movies. AD always applied BREAKS to Nag's success Streak
Pavan Kalyan Fans: AD delivered hit for Allu Arjun but not for PK. Here also Secondhalf winded up. |
