See my friend, I was not there when SUPERGOOD FILMS bought the rights to click and show that to you. But it's a known fact that Arjun rights were bought by Vijay.

I have not seen Tirupacchi and will agree with you that Tirupacchi is not Arjun from reel to reel. But this has been clearly explained by Hemu to u already. For your convience I will post some of his comments.

One more thing in the article he mentioned that due to hit movies like NANDA, GILLI which has MADHURAI background make that place famous for shootings not with ARJUN. I do accept ARJUN set is really marvelous, anthe gani deeni valle ani cheppaku. |

They never mentioned abiout ARJUN in that artile, but tamil movies got inspiration from the telugu movie ARJUN.
Whole tamil industry knows that Arjun has MAdurai backdrop and there is a proverb which says that "You dont know the good things in you, until others point it out to you." Same thing happened with Madurai, until telugu movie ARJUN came into limelight.

OK in that last link you gave it says inspired from ARJUN, not REMAKE. Ok REMAKE ki INSPIRED ki chaana teda vundi. As a matter of fact, there is not a single point in that movie which is inspired from ARJUN.

Action scenes in progress for Athadu
Action scenes are in progress for Mahesh Babu starrer Athadu. Trivikram Srinivas is directing this film for Jayabheri arts banner. At present, action scenes are being canned at a set erected near Shamshabad Temple. Stunt Master Peter Hayen composed the action part. A low key is being maintained on this film by the makers.
In a different context, it is heard that Tamil hero Vijay is keen on remaking this film into Tamil. Earlier he remade Mahesh's Okkadu as Gilli and Arjun as Tirupachi. |

Mahesh Babu’s Arjun which grossed an amazing Rs 8,40,000 in five days from Chennai’s Jayaprada theatre is red hot in Tamil remake trade circles.
Three young Tamil heroes saw the film and are after it so that they can make it in Tamil and thereby boost their larger-than-life image. But none of these guys have the physique of ‘Prince’ Mahesh who made that unbelievable story so convincing with his immense screen presence and body language.
Producer Ramesh Babu is reportedly asking for a whopping Rs 1 Crore for the remake rights while nobody is willing to buy it at his price. One hero offered him Rs 65 Lakhs, while another says it is not worth more than Rs 40 lakhs.
And another young hero whose father saw the film says that he will not pay a single paisa for the remake as the story is nothing but a copy of a Tamil film made some 25 years back.
