Choreographer turned director Lawrence was supposed to direct his second film for reputed banner Durga Arts that gave super hits like Kshanam Kshanam (Venkatesh – Ram Gopal Verma), Hello Brother (Nagarjuna), etc.
But after his debut film, Mass, became hit, Lawrence backed off the film citing ‘difference of opinions’ with the producers. Although, he didn’t admit it publicly, Lawrence walked out of the project when the producers - Dr K L Narayana and S Gopal Reddy, asked him to direct film with their subject.
Then he took up Lagadapati Rajagopal’s Style, which is now currently being shot in
Hyderabad. Meanwhile, Durga Arts has able to rope in veteran director K Raghavendra Rao to direct this film with NTR.
Says NTR: “Yes, I am glad that I am working with K Raghavendra Rao. He gave me first hit with Student No.1, for which he supervised the Rajamouli’s work. Soon after I finish Jayabheri Kishore’s film (to be directed by Gunashekar), I will be start working for Durga Arts.”
The film will start filming some time after November.
As of now, K R R is all set to direct NTR replacing Lawrence for Durga Arts. But again, anything happen in Tollywood; anyone can change in the last minute. |
