Veteran director and Union Minister Dasari Narayana Rao celebrated his birthday in grand way today (May 04, 2005) at his residence in Hyderabad. He turned 60 today. Like every year, his birthday celebrations were held in grand way with his fans, filmmakers and politicians comTrisha celebrates birthday to his residence and wishing him. But the hungama that was there last year was missing this time. There was speculation that he would announce the revival of Udayam daily today but he refused to comment on it.
When asked about the chances of he making a film again, he said he would love to direct a film, particularly in this slab-less regime but could not do as it involves getting permission from Prime Minister of India. “I will ask Manmohan Singh gaaru for permission to direct films, if he says okay, I may direct but involves long procedure,” he said.
But he said he would continue producing films if any young filmmakers approach him with a good script and promise him that it would be finished in limited budget.
