Sri: But what I heard is that the film (Atadu) went over budget due to the abnormal delay.
Muralimohan: Yes, the film went over budget and was delayed due to many reasons. But you should see the final product – I am happy with the outcome. At present, the film is in final stage – two songs are being shot and once they are done, the film will be ready for release by the end of next month or the first week of July after the post-production works.
Sri: Why is the project delayed? Didn’t you start with the complete script?
Muralimohan: No, we started the film with the complete script only. As the director himself was the writer, he started with a bound script. The delay is due to many reasons, but the overall product is shaped out very well.
Sri: Due to the over-budget, don't you think the profit ratio will be less?
Muralimohan: Of course, it'll be less, but we cannot get all the profits we expect all the time. There will be a risk always in business. Sometimes you win and sometimes you may not. Though the profit ratio is less, I feel it is a
profitable venture. |
