Beijing Olympic theme music will sound and reflect Indian artistic touch. The responsibility of composing this theme music is delegated by Chinese officials to noted music director Sandeep Chowta and Jazz artist Jay Oliver. Jay Oliver and Sandeep Chowta is known to be a good combination. Recently, an album is released too. Chinese officials wanted this tune to reflect their tradition but to reach international standards. Sandeep and Jay will not only compose the theme music but also will get to compose olympic song in all different languages. |

A section of the media has written that Nagarjuna has got special permission of International Album, Hotel California, for his current film, Super. He had obtained the rights from Jay Oliver for this film, the media reported. When Telugucinema.com asked the music composer Sandeep Chowtha about this, he was surprised. “How can they write such baseless stories? I have never used any track of Jay Oliver’s,” he said ruefully. This is what he has to say.. “This is so funny. No one ever mentioned that we are doing a version of Hotel California. I am sure director Jagan sir, would have mentioned in his press conference that Jay Oliver is part of the Eagles, the band that composed Hotel California. And that he would be playing on the Songs of Super. Well all that is true. Jay has performed on the song MILA MILA in Super, which has an absolutely international sound. He has also played on couple of other tracks. There is no trace of Hotel California in Super and that’s for Sure. Jay Oliver and I have worked for composing the music for the next Olympics. Jagan sir and my friend Nagarjuna might have told the press that Jay Oliver has worked for Super. But a section of media interpreted in wrong way." |
