kr mama best is stay in Nj and take subway from edison or find a place in jersey city
its close to manhanttan from Jersey city
NYC will be expensive, its best to stay in NJ and travel to NYC in subway
If you want to see NYC manhanttan take apple tours bus(best option) you can ride them from penn station, grand central or any place
See Liberty, Empire state, MOMA(if you like musems, Museum of modern arts), Wax museum (since you been to UK, if you have seen Tussads)
its not worth. Near to times square
try to walk on 42th and times square in the night. If you care for nigth life go to greenwich village. Down manhattan |

First of all, what are you planning to see in Newyork? What are your preferences?
Generally what I have seen people doing is they see Liberty Statue, Ground Zero(World Trade Center), Empire State Building and Time Square.
First 3 morning cover ayipothaayi, Time square night velthaavu, that's it. Mottham oka roju lo ayipothundi unless you have other interests like seeing Broadway shows, museums etc. You don't need to stay overnight at NY.
Still, if you want to stay, best bet is to stay in NJ and go to NY. You can stay at my place but I'm out of NJ in the weekend, my friend is coming from Dallas and we're going to meet other friends in CT and Boston.
In NJ, look for motels in Jersey City. In Jersey City, look specifically in Journal Square area. Journal Square is part in Jersey City and it has train (Path train) access to NewYork City. Check in hotels.com or other websites with Zipcode 07307 , Journey is hardly 10 to 12 minutes to NY downtown. Also look for hotels in Harrison, NJ. That is also close by to NY city. From both these places (Journal Square and Harrison), You will take Path train and will get down at WTC. In WTC, if you take Subway trains N, R, A, C etc anything, they will take you to Empire State Building which is in 33rd street, Time Square is close by and is in 42nd street. You can cover both.
The only different one when it comes to journey is Liberty Statue since you have to take a ferry to go there. Once you get down at World Trade Center station, you can ask anyone on how to go to Liberty Statue since Liberty Statue is very close to WTC.
When it comes to food, there are lot of Indian Resturants in Lexington Avenue (21st to 27th st) and this is close to Empire state building and Time Square.

Mamalu, e long weekend would like to spend in NY Downtown watching most of the places in the area.
I am looking for a motel which is in a peaceful area and accessible to the train network.
Can anybody suggest some good motels please. |
