On the auspicious day of Hanuman Jayanthi (June 1, 2005), Nagarjuna and director K Raghavendra Rao’s bio-periodic film Sri Ramadasu began its shoot. The film’s regular shoot had begun on Wednesday (June 1, 2005) at 8.20 Am in Hyderabad.
Music composer M M Keeravani has also begun recording the songs from today. The film is produced by Konda Krishnam Raju. Dasapalla Group’s M Raghavendra Rao presents it. While producer Konda switched the camera on, director KRR clapped the clapboard.
Hero Nagarjuna plays the role of Sri Ramadasu, a legendary Srirama Bhakta and great bhazana poet. Jyothika plays his wife. The film’s music sittings were held at Bhadrachalam temple and also at Mookambika temple near Udipi.
K R Raghavendra Rao and Nagarjuna’s earlier bio-periodic film, Annamayya, was a big hit and also mesmerized many audiences with its devotional music and periodic sets. The producer Krishnam Raju said that he is sure that the duo would recreate same magic for this film.
Akkineni Nageshwara Rao is playing Kabir Das in this film.
