Like NTR of the yester phase of Telugu cinema Nagarjuna is known for his punctuality as he maintains the difference even between 9AM and 9:05 AM.
Nagarjuna is seen with long hair for many days and still carries the same style. That’s all for the film ‘Super’ that is going to hit the screen in the third week of June. Like Aamir Khan, who generally carries the filmi make up even out of sets during the shooting, Nagarjuna made himself familiar to people who have seen him in Televisions since the recent past.
‘Super’ comprises may bike races. Nagarjuna says, “ I love bikes since my 17th year. I used to be on roads even amidst hectic traffic on my bike till I turned 32. But people used to hardly notice me because of my helmet. All of our friends would gash on roads with heavy speed of about 200 km/hr” (indeed, exaggerating!).
The general understanding of the people says that youthful days are happy to live with provided a man is gifted with a bike and a girl friend.
Coming to Nagarjuna, it is a universal perception that he possessed with myriad girl friends. He says, “Of course, I used to take them along with me. Otherwise, what's the fun in riding a bike? But I never drove rashly when somebody sat behind me."
In Super, Nag will be seen riding 1,000 cc bikes of Yamaha and Honda. So this film turns nostalgic for him reminding him of his youthful days. The action in this film would be very pleasing, assures the actor. "Not the stuff that makes you turn your head away. I can't take too much violence," he says.
Saying about his sons he says, “Chaitanya is grown up now and Akhil is still young who needs to be taken care of”. When asked about the films Akhil likes, Nag says, “ He liked Mass. But didn’t care for Manmadhudu. He only liked the scenes pertaining to Brahmanandam.
When asked about the recent suicide attempts of heroines Nag said, "We live in glass houses. Our lives, emotions, highs and lows are there for all to see. There must be so many suicide attempts everyday but these are the ones which are in-your-face."
He also says that high pressure and over focused life to public also hampers the mental health of actresses. He says, “ When we put on a little weight, people say we are growing fat. When we turn a little thin, people say we are not healthy. When we get a small line under our eyes they say we are growing older. Apart from this we also face lot of criticism”.
He adds saying, “ I don’t know when the time comes from me to transform for character roles. When that comes I ensure that it would be smooth”.
Nag was broadly shot for ‘Super’ in Mubai and Goa. He said, “ I met Ram Gopal Varma and watched a part of his upcoming film ‘Sarkar’ for half an hour. That was marvelous. I have also felt that it would have been nice if he had offered a role for me in the film”. When asked about other filmmakers he said, “ I think ‘Hyderabad Blues’ and ‘Anand’ are the only successful small budget films. I lost regards on Nagesh Kukunoor with his film ‘Bollywood Calling’.
