THis is the letter from Lax friend, Lax I am posting it here to get some more money Guys please read it and help that kid if you can Thanks PS: I have ashok email and phone no for more info Please give it a thought and help whatever you can Dearest Friends.... Without a doubt, I am getting ready for the biggest challenge of my life. On May 11, 2005, my cousin brother Vidya Sagar Reddy, 18 yrs was diagnosed from Blood cancer,Acute Myeloid Leukemia(AML). > Currently his status has moved from critical to serious and will under go Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) immediately after we deposit some initial amount. Luckily, I am not doing this on my own. I have great friends, family members, brothers, sisters and teammates whose support will help me cross the finish line. When you meet my brother, especially now that his hair has grown back in, cancer is not the first thing that you think of. When you come to know what he's been through, however, it breaks your heart. The cause of leukemia is not known. To a parent that is one of the most frustrating things. I cannot tell you how many times my brother has complained of a stomach ache and the first thing that I think is: it's back. It takes everything in me and his parents not fall to pieces. Whether my brother will be cured is not known. The doctors quote statistics but that's all that they can give us. The cold reality is unfair. It is beyond hard. But that is why I am writing this. It is what motivates me to do this. We want to be told that this will never happen again. We want answers. I think someday we will get them, however, the only way we will get there is through your support. So we are asking you to go out and share our story or whatever story you may have and get some money. Tell as many people that will listen so we can raise > > money and someday find the cure for this disease. > I > > cannot forever describe the suffering he and > > everybody around him have been through until > today. > > The future is still a big question mark to him and > > us. I wish I could be half the man that my brother > > is. The way that he stood up to what he believed > > was the right thing, and was one to never shy away > > from responsibility is a great credit to his > > personality. He still gives you the same smile as > if > > nothing has happened to him. > > Significant progress is yet to be made in the > > treatment of this disease, and doctors are now > > optimistic that they can get pass this phase by > BMT. > > Success of his treatment means a lot to all of us. > > For people living with Leukemia and other > > life-challenging illnesses, the battle is far from > > over. We just make sure no one has to do it on an > > empty stomach. > > As a brother, I'm desperate > > I used to be someone who had just heard of > leukemia. > > Now I am brother of the kid battling it. Life > takes > > you to places that you never thought you would go > > and somehow gather the strength to get through it. > I > > hope someday that others will not have to go > through > > what we have been through and what we continue to > go > > through. I pray that we beat this form of cancer > so > > that we can move on to the next form and > eventually > > lick cancer all together. I truly believe that we > > will live to see that day.
