The greediness of Telugu comedians made the Telugus residing in Amercia to miss the ‘Vindu bhojanam’ (dinner). As many of the NRIs might have heard that the Telugu Association of Columbus (TACO) has planned a comedy show with our Telugu comedians, Navvula Jallu, on 4th July at Square Drive Marysville, Ohio.
But suddenly our Telugu stars have hiked their remuneration to attend this programme leaving the organizers of the programme in invariable position to either hike their entry fee or do away with the free food option.
Now the TACO has decided to provide a food stall where one can buy the food. Read the press release of TACO to get to know more..
Due to sudden increase in the price by the artists to perform at our show, we are left with no other choice other than to remove the free food we have announced earlier to absorb the price hike from our "Navvula Jallu" event. Earlier we were promised by the TANA organizers that we will be charged $2,800 for the show and now we are getting charged $6,300 for the same.
This was told to us yesterday night! TACO exec committee immediately called for an emergency meeting and came up with this resolution to get the free food option (which will cost us around $2,700) out to make the show happen. However there will be a food stall where you can buy your food from at the show. According to the price we have set, we will be making $9,000 if all the tickets(200 --$25/- tickets + 400 --$10/- tickets ) get sold out! We have to accommodate Hall, Transportation for the artists, Audio, Memento's, Miscellaneous costs.., in this $9,000. We will post all the financial details in our website once we are done with the show under our Finance tab in our website www.tacosite.com
So far we got very good response and we are very exited about it. As of now we have a balance of $4651.53 in the bank.
We strongly feel that $10/- is still a very good price. Please come to the show with your family and have fun and make TACO stronger so that we can get better programs like these to you.Thanks a lot for understanding the situation and we deeply regret if this change of direction had caused any adjustments in your planning.
