now a days after observing a series of threads on the heroes I thought the heroes are more hyped than their worth.
I know I can not compare the old generation heroes to the new and mid generation heroes, here is my analysis.
Old generation: NTR, ANR, SSK and sobhan babu
mid generation: chiru, nbk, nag, venkatesh
new generation: pawan, mahesh, jr, etc.
Old generation heroes acted in different movies (social, mythological, folk, etc), which the mid and new genearation heroes are not fit (except chiru and nbk). acting in mythgological and folk is not the criteria for an actor.
As a matter of fact, the mid generation heroes did not perform the different types of roles what the old generation heroes, to certain extent we can give consideration to chiru and nbk. but definitely nag and venky did not do what chiru and nbk did. the number of movies of chiru and nbk acted were more than hundred. in their early stages they acted in four to six movies per year which came drastically down to one or two per year now. whereas nag and venky acted just more than fifty. now a days they are acting one or at the most two per year. these heroes are also little bit fortunate, in their early stages they acted three to four movies per year, and hence they could reach fifty.
come to our present generation heroes pawan, mahesh and jr; what they did so far was not even 10 movies (of which 60% movies of them were flop), and they are projecting themselves and by their fans as superstars. this number is not even the movies directed by NTR and SSK or you can say way below the number of movies acted by ANR and sobhan babu in the direction of Dasari. these guys are also acting one or two movies per year; consider they act for 20 more yeays at this rate may end up maximum fifty movies. this is undoubtedly less to the number of movies NTR mythological movies and SSK acted in the direction of K. S. R. Das itself alone. I am not saying these are three are not talented, but the hype for them and their movies does not match together. do you think are these over hyped heroes?
