Trisha shifts to comedy
Trisha is leaving her village-belle and coy girl image and shifting to comedy. “In my forthcoming Athadu, I play a girl who has great sense of humour and keep on mouthing witty one-liners all the time. The change had started with Allari Bullodu, the film that I am currently working on, with veteran director K Raghavendra Rao. He cast me in a totally different role of a bubbly modern girl wearing trendy clothes, quite a contrast to what I have been playing so far,” she said
Says Trisha “I don’t want my films to be heroine-oriented but at least they must have powerful women characters like the role of Julia Roberts in My Best Friend’s Wedding and Kajol’s in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge.”
Trisha says that Mahesh Babu happens to be most professional hero she had ever acted with. She said that her characterisation in Athadu is not routine, but has good links to the main story and its development.
"When it is thoroughly an action-packed movie, my role is usually limited to situational song sequences. I am happy that in Athadu I got a wonderful footage," she added.
