This year Telugu cinema had witnessed a peculiar problem. All big star films that released in the past four months went through release date problems. There has been huge confusion over the films’ release dates in the last minute.
It started with NTR’s Narasinhudu. The confusion over the film’s release date and ensuing fracas between the producer and exhibitors became fodder for media for three days. And finally it was released on May 20th evening.
Chiranjeevi’s Andarivaadu was first announced that it would release on June 1st
Andarivaadu
but immediately postponed to June 3rd and tickets were sold in advance for June 3rd. But due to delay in graphical work, the film hit the screens on June 4th.
Same was the case with Super. Actually, delay in the film’s release (after postponing it several times from July 14th, July 20th to July 21st), other films release dates (Atadu, Nuvvante Nakishtam, Premikulu, Andhrudu, Muddula Koduku) went topsy-turvy.
Mahesh Babu’s Atadu too falls in the same trap in the last minute. The film may release now on August 12th or 10th. |
