Prince Mahesh - Gunashekar, the powerful combination which delivered Okkadu again. Their second outing at boxoffice, Arjun though was not very successful at boxoffice, was a profitable film. The combo is back for another film, which will be produced by Ashwini Dutt. Producer Ashwini Dutt announced that he would make a project with Gunashekar and Mahesh, long ago when he bought the distribution rights of Arjun for Krishna and Guntur districts. The other details of the film are not yet revealed, but it’s heard that the subject has been okayed. The film would start on the 12th of October, and probably release in summer 2006.
The makers of Mahesh’s Athadu cited that delay in post production work is the reason for their film’s postponement. The movie which was in the making for many months now was constantly postponed. It was supposed to release on the 5th August. It was pushed to the 10th a few days late, and finally the 12th, which happens to be a Friday. Meanwhile, Ashwini Dutt is occupied with the production of his film Jai Chiranjeeva. He is also working another script by Athadu director – Trivikram which would have one of the young heroes whom he launched in the lead. Mahesh has also signed another project which would be made by M.S Raju. The movie would begin on the 14th of March next year, the same day on which Okkadu had started. |
