Star-convassing has been common since long, because of personal choices and party affiliation of the stars. Now, TeluguCinema.com gathered that there's sometimes a hidden motive in the "deal" too - it's known that two moderately-scoring heroines who are convassing for TDP are being paid Rs. 50,000/- per day each. One another fading heroine was asked to campaign against Roja for 3 days for a price of 1.5 lakh rupees per day, but the heroine declined it portraying dignity saying that she respects Roja and thus would not choose to do this even for money! Another poor lady was supposedly paid Rs. 25 lakh for full election campaign but her campaign stopped even before it started, for fatal reasons. Tollywood bee says that this is not just being done by the TDP-BJP alliance; even the Congress (I) is paying money to film stars on daily basis to challange the TDP wave in the state. Gone are those days when NTR, Krishna, Krishnam Raju, etc. came into politics to do something for the society and people. New glitter is welcome, but joining the fray just for money is pathetic! Whatever be the party, celebrities from the glitterworld should stand on political and societal merit, TeluguCinema.Com feels. Good luck to all such sincerely striving leaders out there.
