sarang gaaru, ade kadaa mari - antha doomsday scenario unda akkada ? the players in Iraq today are fringe elements and are not yet organized into any thing big. their demands are much more localized, I would assume and infact must be manageable. soodham lendi.

exactly my point sarang gaaru, events have different effects on future actions. when an event like IC flight hijacking happened, that WAS the time to be strong, we faltered and we paid for it. ( masood azhar is a RAW agent ane heros kooda unnarulendi, adi vere vishayam ) by being strong now, we aint gonna get much out of the whole thing other than throwing away three innocent lives. I would much rather that company reach a compromise with the abductors. by comprpmising 'now', the damage is NOT going to be anything major.

chalam garu what is the point ani adigaru , one single lapse to potray the nation as soft state enta damage chesindo choosaru kada . ee roju veelani pattukoni demands chesaru , repu vere vallani pattukoni mana jails lo vunna members ni (pan islamic gola ) kinda vadala mante same problem kada . hustler bhai ONE SINGLE MAULANA MASOOD AZHAR NI AA ROJU VADILAMU , WHAT FOLLOWED LATER WAS A BLOOD BATH IN KASHMIR , APPATI VARAKU CALM GA VUNNA MILITANTS KI MALLI IDEAOLOGICAL MANISHI DORIKADU aa release chesina valla kem bagane vunnaru . yes tappu jarigindi mana valla amritsar lo. what i had pointed out was the difference in the peoples attitude of both countries. To best put this example , appatlo all the relatives of the hijacked people chala gola chesaru delhi lo. there was a single girl who was shown on tv , both her parents were captured , what she said was i do love my parents but if the release of the terrorists brings about the death of other people else where for the sake of the country i am willing to give them up.

what's the point in being strong now, sarang gaaru ? our interests wont get affected in a major way with this incident, some kind of backdoor compromise is better IMO - atleast to save the lives of these innocent working class Indians. when there was a REAL need for strength, even the so-called 'nationalists' caved in, I dont expect much bravura from congress guys - hope they atleast have some value for these lives.

Sam, Sounds like they've gone thru private companies to work as cooks, truck drivers etc. I don't know if our Government will intervene since India didn't send any troops officially.

Iraq Militant Group Takes 6 New Hostages Jul 21, 11:05 AM (ET) By TAREK EL-TABLAWY (AP) Three insurgents carrying automatic weapons stand in front of six hostages at an undisclosed... BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - A militant group said Wednesday it had taken two Kenyans, three Indians and an Egyptian hostage and would behead them if their countries did not announce their intention to withdraw their troops from Iraq immediately. However, none of those countries were part of the 160,000 member coalition force in Iraq. In a statement given to The Associated Press, the group, calling itself "The Holders of the Black Banners," said they had taken the six truckers hostage and would behead one of them every 72 hours if their nations did not pull out of Iraq and the company they work for did not close its branch here. The deadline starts from 8 p.m. Wednesday, it said. "We have warned all the countries, companies, businessmen and truck drivers that those who deal with American cowboy occupiers will be targeted by the fires of the Mujahedeen," the statement said. "Here you are once again transporting, goods, weapons and military equipment that backs the U.S. Army." In photos provided to AP with the statement, six of the hostages are shown standing behind three seated, masked gunmen. One of the hostages holds a paper with the typed names of seven men - presumably six of them were the hostages - their nationalities, passport numbers and the registration numbers of the trucks they were driving. The paper is stamped July 20 and the words "Universal Services" were handwritten on top. The names on the paper were Ibrahim Khamis, from Kenya, Salm Faiz Khamis, from Kenya, Jalal Awadh, from Kenya, Antaryami, from India, Tilak Raj, from India, Sukdev Singh, from India, and Mohammed Ali Sanad, from Egypt. It was not clear which of the Kenyans listed on the paper was not among the hostages. From the statement, the trucking company that employed the men appeared to be based in Kuwait. The statement came a day after militants released Filipino hostage Angelo dela Cruz after his country gave in to their demand and pulled its 51-member force out of Iraq. That pullout led to fears militants would try to take more hostages. http://apnews1.iwon.com/image/20040721/IRAQ_HOSTAG ES.sff_BAG117_20040721105836.html?date=20040721&do cid=D83V8CFO2
