SpitFire mama,
I too observering the movements on Naxals talks and their actions from Govt. and Naxals. Congress government is making it very casual issue and taking steps deliberately without any assurance from the other party. Here Government would have made their stand clear on what naxals should do before accepting such BIG thing. Since nothing of this sort is done, there are chances Naxals take the oppurtunity and go extremes in fulfilling the demands.
The only reason I have observed for this kind of actions are they want to written off this Naxal issue to make it a development activity for future support to United AP and ditch KCR.
But the AP government should have considered the opposition's concerns also. Like the life threat to Chandra Babu. I think he is cunning/propagandist, but we still need leader like him for bringing charisma to the post of CM in AP.
Now government key TO DOs are:
Be un armed
Let them to join Jana Jeevana Sravanthi by dissolving it.
Protect the police officers who took steps in controlling them and support those police families who lost their lives. (This is to get support from police department)
Protect the leaders who opposed this movement

enough debate emityi mama. There was no debate it was an almost unilteral acceptance to their superiority in the discussion. I atleast wish their demands are not fulfilled.
Kannabhiran, VaravaraRao and Gaddar are erudite people and still belive that idelogy will return.
My stand is that they will look like "used old educated fools" between the extremists and Congress at the end of the day.

Just about 9 months back CBN went for a plebicite or rather public referendum on his stand on the Naxalites.
The plebicite was very clear, with little emphasis on the OFFICIAL CUASE . Meaning people thought that the there were far superior reasons and trouble that needed elaborate attention than the loss due to the ephemeral attrocities of the " lost cause" Naxalites.
Congress claims that peace has been achieved. The Naxalites would return to being ideoligists of the old era like CHaru Majumdar and Kanu Sanyal (Naxalbery).
Annagaru said the carrot and the stick policy was the best.
CBN had an extremist outlook.. physical and mortal elimination was what was necessary in his opinion.
Congress says that it has achieved victory by bilateral talks.
DO you think this is a real victory for Congress??
