Regarding your query on 'RATING' received by my film 'ALLARI PIDUGU', this is to bring to the notice of all film buffs that the web sites have been VERY VERY UNFAIR towards my film...
The film is a big hit in Ceded, and presently doing very well in all areas of Andhra & Nizam...But for these ratings and goebbels propaganda of mischievous elements,it would have done equally well in these areas too..
Guaging from the reaction of the general audience from all over AP,the film is being higly appreciated on many counts...NOT A SINGLE VIEWER who met me after viewing the film ever mentioned that the film is boring / bad / average...IN FACT everyone appreciated me for such a GOOD , CLEAN FAMILY ENTERTAINER...They particularly liked the songs, cast, production values, etc.,
It therefore came as a real shocker to me to see the highly discounted ratings given by the various web sites like Idlebrain.com, Telugucinema.com, & all other sites...From this i only have to conclude that
1) The Admn in these web sites are partisan in their attitude towards NBK's films
2) They might have been under some external influences
3) We did not offer them çompliments' to which they are accustomed to usually
4) We never 'entertained'' them & bowed to their hankerings.
These administrations should observe that our telugu film industry is going through a rough patch, and their support is required for promoting our films...this is NOT to say that they should give high ratings for each and every film..they should go by the merits as required..After a Producer has gone through hell literally for years right from the day the project is conceived and released, the sadistic nature of these administrations is the last nail in the coffin..we have observed during recent times that the stress and strain on the producer and the team is taking it's toll indirectly on the entire film industry, sometimes ending with fatal consequences. I was very happy that i could release the film(which itself in the prevailing circumstances,is a great achievement) but, that happiness did not last even a few hours with the rating given by these sites...there is also an inherent sadistic nature among the DB members in these web sites to term a movie a 'flop' even before the verdict by the general public...i happened to read many threads in the IBDB cursing me even the film's release, & all these frustrated guys let off their steam on me, probably, with an idea that it is going to 'please'their hero...is that really required? If the film is a flop like they wish it to be, let them keep their opinion in their minds..why damn a producer or another hero?
It was really very unkind of Mr Jeevi, the administrator of Idle brain to have given us this unjustified rating...He knows very well that audience far away rely on his ratings to view a film, has himself praised the film in his review but finally gives a lesser rating ! The reason for this sort of erratic behaviour can ONLY be due to ulterior motivating factors known only to his honour ! I do not wish to dwell anymore on his motivations, & leave it to the general public who finally manage to oversee his rating and come to view the film to pass their valued judgement.
I intend to take up with this issue with the Telugu Film Chamber & other forums very shortly to counter the blackmailing tactics of these web sites.
