Use moneytoindia from ICICI. With this facility you can transfer money to any nationalized bank in India through electronic transfer or DD for branches that are not computerized or not the ICICI system.
It will take 5 to 7 business days excluding the US and India holidays and exclude the day you submitted the transfer (personal experience).
I used it and it worked for me many times.

Go there and register ur bank details here in US ...it will take 3 days to verify and get ur account activated..( they will deposit and remove some amount and u get to tell them the amounts to verify that its ur account)
U just add ur Inidan SBI bank details and if u send it in 3-4 days the money will be deposited directly into that SBI account, if that bank in Inida has online facility..else they will send a DD to the address of the account holder in India.. |
