Banjara Hills police on Sunday has registered a case against Telugu film producer Bellamkonda Suresh after he threatened to kill a film distributor.
According to K. Jairam, owner of Priyanka Films, he had given Rs 50 lakhs to Suresh on August 12, for the release of “Na autograph Sweet dreams,” a Telugu film that flopped at the box office. Suresh had a written agreement with Jairam that he would return the money if the picture suffered a loss.
On October 7, Jairam and his friend Srinivas had gone to Suresh’s office at Filmnagar, Road No. 7 and asked him to return the money. Suresh threatened to kill him if he continued his demands. On Saturday, Jairam lodged a complaint with the Banjara Hills police, who are investigating the case.
