Separately, a huge crowd of fans mobbed the inauguration Thursday night to greet Telugu actor Chiranjeevi who was a guest of honour.
They represent the 10,000 strong Telugu community who live and work in Goa.
Chiranjeevi reigned supreme over Telugu cinema for 28 years. His fans say he should desist from playing the role of an aging man.
In his last film, Aindarivaadu, he attempted a double role as the hero and the hero's father.
Chiranjeevi, who is about to launch his son as a film hero, takes it in his stride.
"They want to see me as a young lad. According to age I have to shift slowly," Chiranjeevi said.
But he added, he would do what the fans say.
